Science & History

The REACH Museum is a great place to visit if you would like to learn more about the history of the Mid-Columbia River Region. The LIGO Exploration Center offers the opportunity to dive deeper into science and learn about gravitational wave astrophysics with interactive exhibits. If you are interested in learning more about the area's nuclear history, role during WWII, and the ongoing clean-up project, check out the Manhattan Project Historical Park

Walla Walla 

Walla Walla is a beautiful small town an hour east of the Tri-Cities. Walla Walla has a walkable downtown area with boutique shops, variety of restaurants, and over 120 wineries in the area.

Prosser

Prosser is located 30 minutes west of the Tri-Cities and is considered the birthplace of Washington wine. September 26-28 Prosser will be hosting the annual Great Prosser Balloon Rally and Harvest Festival.

Palouse Falls 

Palouse Falls is a historic waterfall located 1.5 hours northeast of the Tri-Cities. Palouse Falls was carved 13,000 years ago during the Missoula Floods and is one of the last active waterfalls on the Ice Age Floods path.
